Romansleigh Revel & Family Dog Show August 3rd, 2025

Our annual Revel was held on Sunday afternoon 3rd August this year in the Webber's Barn and Field at the heart of the village.

We had sunny spells and a few showers but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of organisers and visitors, with the South Molton Town Band, Chrissie and Peter Gilbert providing a variety of vibrant music throughout the afternoon!

Family Dog Show

The weather dampened the Family Dog Show somewhat but, as always, it was hugely popular with no less than 13 fun classes for the dogs to enter from 'Waggiest Tail' to 'Best Sausage Catcher'. Entrants came from far and wide. Many thanks to Angie Doe for arranging another really great event and to Nigel Young for his expert judging.

Other Activities

The produce stall, supplied by the local community with delicious home made and home grown produce was ever popular, with the bar trailer and cream tea stalls offering a range of refreshments to suit everyone young and old. Entertainment included Guess the Number of Balloons in the Tractor Cab, High Striker, Skittle Alley, Coconut Shy, Tombola and Bric-a-Brac and the all important raffle with some star prizes of a sausage making day with John May and 2 stunning hampers.

The Romansleigh Revel has been going for over 70 years and is always held on the first Sunday in August - pop it in your diary for 2026, we’ll be there!
